Mox-Z, this girl can do it all!! She has 12 points toward her breed Championship plus numerous agility titles.
Starting her agility career in 2003 Mox-Z flew from Novice to Excellent titles in less than 6 months. She was ranked the #1 Cocker Spaniel in Open Standard and the #2 in Open Jumpers for 2003. She currently has 6 legs toward her MX title, and her MXJ Title.
Late 2004 we noticed Mox-Z slowing down on the agility course, after numerous Vet visits we could not figure out if anything was wrong. Then 2/05 Mox-Z herniated a disc in her back. We were devastated, but the wonderful doctors at Cornell performed surgery on her and after many months of rehab she was back to a normal dog. We trained slowly and in April 2006 Mox-Z returned to the agility rings and ran some Preferred (lower jump height) classes and earned her NAP NJP and OJP titles along with a few MXJ legs over the year.
Mox-Z returns back to agility competition this Spring!!

Again in 2007 we noticed Mox-Z slowing down and immediately assumed it was a disc again. But after more testing her back seemed fine. But her bloodwork showed an extremely low thyroid function. Dr Jeanne Dodds, attributed it to being genetic and placed her on medication. the medication has done wonders for her but we decided with all her health issues to spay her.
She is now retired from agility but still enjoys training for fun and chasing around the ball or frisbie. She still travels along to the trials and enjoys the time going for walks and being with the family.
